About the Owner…
Sarah Ghelfi (they/them)
“I’ve been behind a camera since I was in high school, when I begged my parents to help me order a Canon DSLR using money I’d saved from my summer job. I’ve always been creative and entrepreneurial- often standing by the roadside of my childhood home selling eggs from my chickens, dried herb blends from my garden, and even a shoe shine station I dreamed up after reading about it in a book one time!
Creativity is one of my biggest passions and strengths, and I love that design and photo work allows me the opportunity to collaborate with you to bring your vision to life. My favorite projects to work on include branding, photo + and web design for small business owners, portraits for people and their pets, small weddings + mountaintop elopements.
With over ten years of full time self employment experience and owning two businesses, I love to consult with small business owners and help them bring their vision to life through tangible means such as design, as well as help with structuring, pricing, overcoming fear, and more!
When I’m not behind the lens or or working on a design project, you can find me behind the chair at Origins Hair Studio, the eco friendly and organic based hair salon in North Conway, New Hampshire I founded in 2016. At Origins, I focus on enhancing and embracing who you are. I offer free gender affirming hair cuts during Pride month, welcome curly and wavy hair textures, and love creating fun shapes and dimensions within the hair canvas. You also may find me on my bike, eating ice cream, playing music, thrifting, cooking, brainstorming a new business, or meandering around a mountain somewhere.
My experience in hair design allows me to understand the importance of collaboration, artistry, and design while my love for the outdoors has taught me the importance of natural light, and how to capture you and your loved ones in it!” -Sarah
Jessi Holleran
Jessi (they/he) has five years of social media and marketing experience. Before self employment, they learned through their work as a writing tutor, yearbook editor, and bookseller that they loved to connect to people through writing and reading. They earned a B.S. from Massachusetts Maritime Academy and will most likely never use their degree. When Jessi’s not yelling about LGBTQ+ issues, he’s yelling about queer sci-fi or fantasy books he’s reading, video games he’s playing, or movies he’s watching. They have a small hairless bearded dog who is most likely a wizard trapped in a dog’s body, and who is the center of Jessi’s universe. On weekends, Jessi can be found turning into a forest nymph and disappearing into the woods with their partner.
As a queer owned and operated business, we know the importance of celebrating who you are, and who you love. We proudly serve the LGBTQIA+ community and welcome folks of any gender, race, and sexuality. We strive to create a comfortable, welcoming, and affirming photography and/or design experience.
We offer discounted rates when possible to folks of marginalized communities to keep our services as accessible as possible!
